Recap of the 2nd Annual Palestine Educational Conference 2025
Assalamu Alaikum Dear Friends and Educators,
Alhamdulillah! The 2nd Annual Palestine Educational Conference (PEC 2025) was a resounding success– a day filled with learning, collaboration, and inspiration to strengthen Palestine education through an Islamic lens.
Hosted by Aref Educational Solutions, founded by Amaal Aref, the conference gathered educators, curriculum developers, and advocates from across the country. Together, we explored faith-centered approaches to teaching, storytelling, and leadership — weaving identity, excellence, and justice into our classrooms.
The program opened with a heartfelt Qur’an recitation by Yusuf Hamza (IQA), followed by a keynote reflection from Imam Tom Facchine (Yaqeen Institute) and an exclusive viewing of Yaqeen’s upcoming series, The Salahuddin Generation — an inspiring message of faith, courage, and resilience.
Throughout the day, attendees engaged with powerful talks, interactive sessions, and meaningful discussions led by our esteemed presenters:

- Sadeq Alhasan (CISE) – Curriculum and civic engagement for empowerment
- Dr. Leila Shatara (ICI Dallas) – Building faith-driven educational communities

- Shereen Malherbe (The Noble Narrative) – The Women Who Rebuild Palestine and the role of storytelling in preserving heritage
- Dr. Iman Farajallah (IMAN Network) – Trauma, healing, and belonging
- Dr. Shaza Khan & Rasha El Haggan (ISLA) – Faithful leadership in Islamic education
- Waudud Hassan (Muraqaba.App) – Prophetic wellness and mindful leadership
- Amin Aaser (Noor Kids) – Nurturing identity through story and imagination
- Rema Nasir (Iqraa Bookshop Network) – Reviving Arabic literacy and family connection
